Is it? I tried to work with them for nearly a month directly, but they don't respond to any of my emails. I've seen people post here and get responses. You wouldn't even consider posting if you thought it would help?

Actually, they didn't tell me the IP address. That X was in the original email. Also, my phone has a password on it, and the coinbase app and my Authy app both had passwords on them. So actually, your scenario isn't analagous at a

This is actually a solid article, but also definite proof that HN is now reddit. I can live with that.

> If I hit you in the face, you would feel a bunch of different emotions. Yes... but even here, context matters. I do martial arts, and when I get hit in the face while sparring, it's useful feedback and something I can learn from.

"Most people want to go on dates with people who are attractive, and self-improvement is often an anti-pattern for that." I don't see the contradiction. I'm fairly obsessed with self-improvement and my body and health are a big part of that

Full disclosure -- I work here, and this is a really exciting time for us! We have so many things on our radar that it feels like we're just getting started. I'd be happy to answer any questions people might have.

Grouper is in beta in SF as well. I've been on one and my friends have been on several. It was fun, but so far no one has made any friends (or started dating), so I don't know it's a solution to this problem.

I read the article, and I still disagree. I shouldn't have limited myself to the startup scene. A good friend of mine is a paramedic in training in Austin, and not only has he done hallucinogens a fair amount of times, but many of his cowor

I agree with all that, except the end. By all means just built it, but true originality does not always win in the end. See success of Snuggie vs. earlier product Slanket for reference.

I believe comparing yourself to others can be healthy, as long as you don't let it get out of control. How else do you know what's possible? If your friend is progressing much faster than you, almost certainly he is doing something differen

I'm 25, have a few years of experience in this industry, and I don't see any of the things you're describing. I'm working for my 3rd company now, and I've always had hardware provided, my own desk, and since moving to silicon valley have al

That LoCreep app sounds horrible. Often the "creeps" are just socially awkward guys, and the last thing they need or deserve is public humiliation. Didn't we just go over this with the MTG champion? Otherwise, this sounds like a great event

I've been considering getting into rock-climbing, but I'm concerned that reliance on a partner will make it hard to go. Has this been a problem for you? If so, what have you done to deal with it? You can boulder by yourself, yes?
