Isn't "Dumbing it down" exactly what apple is doing with the iPad, which will almost certainly be a runaway success?

"The Pareto rule states that 20% of your efforts produce 80% of your results. This is true in all areas of life, so always apply the Pareto rule when possible." The Pareto Principle is an observation that applies in many areas of life, but

I don't see that as much of an excuse. Investing in a company isn't like paying taxes; you voluntarily decide who to invest in, and ethically (if not legally) you have some responsibility for their actions.

If that works for him, more power to him, but I probably wouldn't even bother visiting this site without the discussions.

I've been doing that since my slashdot days. I completely agree that the comments are generally quite a bit more interesting than the actual page being linked to. Quite often I don't even bother following the link, because I know what I'll

"The lower prices leads to lower revenue which leads to less money to cycle back into the economy." How so? The customer still has that money, and will likely spend it on something else. Either by going out to eat more often, buying that ne

So basically you just wrote an article about how us nerds don't get "normal people," and in the process committed the same sin by not getting what a digital picture frame is for "normal people?" Funny

So in that case, age really has very little to do with it. Like you said, they'll be even MORE awesome with age. They'd still probably have something to gain from listening to older people, as long as those older people are at least as awes

Agreed. Either the common man should play by the same rules, or he needs to fight to enforce that those at the top don't get to cheat either. Otherwise he is basically a "chump."

Funny... your situation is very similar to mine, actually. I also have friends/acquaintances making big bucks with affiliate marketing, and I've dabbled in it myself, but I can never seem to muster enough enthusiasm to put much work into it

You don't think it's wrong to let a high-profile site blatantly break the rules everyone else has to follow because it profits them?

Reading while exercising? REALLY? How about actually working out hard for a half an hour, then doing whatever the hell you want. Half-assing two things at once sounds like a recipe for getting nothing done.

Is anyone else completely turned off by most incentive devices? I don't want your damn point for leaving a comment on my friend's wall. I don't want to be "mayor" of a damn coffee shop. Ever watched a bunch of 5 year old's play before?
