If you're there for a month, I imagine a few of your employees might want to "get acquainted" with the locals (more likely other tourists, in reality, but makes little difference.) Perhaps a spare room is in order? ;) Also: I think this ide

As backwards as it seems... isn't that copyright infringement?

You're getting downvoted (not by me), probably because your post was a bit over the top, but in reality you're right. Whatever the merits of this idea, it certainly isn't new, and Apple wasn't the first to try it. But as always, when Apple

True, but right now search fails miserably for images. It might not, if people tagged their images better (facebook does a good job of getting people to do this), but most people don't.

I took a look at it. It seems like a Smalltalk IDE for java... does it offer innovations besides that?

Depends. In an office job, you're right. In many jobs, 15 minutes lost is 15 minutes lost.

What's more natural of a cause than a heart attack or cancer? Aren't they essentially assured given enough time?

No doubt both. Managers at those kind of jobs tend to be dead-ended mid 20's, and need to push around teenagers to feel important since anyone their age can see the truth. They also tend to prey on teenage girls... not a pretty sight.

What avid PC gamer can resist the call of Starcraft 2? Or playing Left 4 Dead 2 with a mouse and keyboard, like the good Lord intended?

They may use the carrot, but trust me, its the stick that keeps them doing it. I once worked at a movie theater where if a manager heard you forget to upsell to a customer, you could be fired on the spot. I even witnessed it a few times. Ma

The story was good, I'm definitely happy to live in a time with such easy access to information, but as for the actual argument, haven't we all heard this before? That doesn't diminish it, but I'm surprised by how new it seems to many peopl

Welcome to SC2, where hard counters make an appearance. Rather than only having damage cuts, like SC1, they now have bonus damage, which can make an ENORMOUS difference. If you're zerg and rolling out a bunch of roaches, you'd better make s

2v2's are fantastic, but sometimes a chosen team gets matched against a random team, which usually results in a lame game. Hopefully this is due to the beta having fewer people

That trend may or may not be happening, but Blizzard has always released their games on Mac, so I wouldn't use this for evidence one way or the other.

The purpose of SC2 is to keep your mind off Diablo 3. One day you'll wake up and it'll be there, and you'll be a very happy man

I'm not sure exactly what hardware that entails, but I'll guarantee you can at least play the game. Perhaps not with every setting on Ultra, but with some fine tuning I'm sure it'd play fine. The game scales well.

I was going to guess it was the logic board. The 2007/2008 MBP's are notorious for that. Same thing happened to me and my friend, but we both had to pay $330 to get it fixed.

These machines definitely exist in the US as well. My work has one. It doesn't pre-boil the water, but it does keep a cool and hot section. If you just loaded it with boiled water to begin with, you'd be set.

I'd also justify that by assuming that if they're still running IE6, they're probably not interested in your fancy app anyway. Obviously this isn't 100% true, but I'd bet its close.

Agreed, but the same can't be said for all concerned parties. The Unity3d guys, for example, allow cross-platform development, and many quality games are already using it. I don't think development addresses their issue at all (in fact, it
