Is this comment even serious? You've been on this site for nearly two years now... how many articles have there been that talk about this issue, explaining that the equation you have given (while true) doesn't work because E and B aren't ne

On the iPhone I don't think its that big a deal, but the iPad is a bit different. The closer a device gets to replacing a computer, the more important it starts to be.

They may be low power compared to other implementations of the same, but I'd be very surprised to hear that the same program written in html5 and JS didn't consume more power than an app equivalent. Ever use Meebo? Ever look at how resource

Its mainly the language that makes the difference. By having such a strict type system, the language can know for sure that something is safe to parallelize.

Don't underestimate persuasion techniques. If they can convince an entire group of people to simultaneously commit suicide, they can probably convince them to eat Pringles.

Not really related at all to this discussion, and not technically the first line (though its on the first page), but this line from Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer was the most captivating book starter for me ever: "I have no money, no res

Women heavily select for intelligence when choosing egg donors. Eggs from high SAT donors go for many times more than normal. Then again, choosing an egg donor is much more cerebral than choosing a man. Not nearly as hormonal as sex.

At least you think you would. I'm not saying you're wrong, or that I know you better than you know yourself (I definitely don't), but sometimes its hard to separate what you "like" from what is culturally sexually driven. Or rephrased, why

In what sense? This only addressed 3.3.1 indirectly. It made it clear that Flash was a target, but said absolutely nothing about other targets. Assuming everyone is in the clear from this would be a mistake, I think.

The article is about Flash though. They clarified about Flash specifically, but reading other things into this seems foolhardy.

It's true. Its fine on my MBP, but I can't stand it on Windows. It feels sluggish on a quad core processor. How that is even possible I don't know, but it does.

We all remember, but they changed their minds and now fully embrace the app store, and even use it as a major marketing point. Suggesting we go back to it now is a bit pre-mature, I think. JS simply doesn't run comparably to native apps, so

That's not simple at all. You'd need to be analyzing your energy levels constantly to figure out things like that. Sounds like the life of a diabetic, testing his blood sugar every half hour. That's usually considered a downside.
