The first thing that comes to mind is: While the time-spent entries I enter are usually exactly what ends up on invoices, on occasion, this is not the case. An entry might get edited (text description of work done, or even amount of time s

I read that page top to bottom, and was not motivated to switch from my current provider (Freshbooks), with which I am quite satisfied. I consider slowness of payment due to my clients, not my time tracking / invoicing tool.

I think this just depends on the make and model. I did a bit of homework before purchase a few years ago (to ensure good compatibility with GNU/Linux), and my Dell Inspiron N7010 has been serving me faithfully for years. No major wif

Chromium reports that there are only two things being attempted by the site: a PHPSESSID cookie, and localStorage. I can't seem to make Chromium accept only one or the other, I can only make it "Allow" for the entire domain

@joepie91_: Just FYI, documents do not load until you accept the site's cookies. I don't know of a technical reason why this should be, off the top of my head, so if there isn't one, you may consider removing that restrictio

I switched from screen to tmux a while back. The key thing for me is that configuration and manipulations/operations in general are more user-friendly. Otherwise, in terms of the basic use cases, they are essentially the same.

Unfortunately, I must confess this strikes me as being of questionable utility (for me). I guess I'll see how it goes after I enter a few more thoughts, and get some back. Interface issue (in Opera): There's no key to just submit the thoug

In Opera, my "this page is still loading" bar keeps popping up every 200 ms or so. Extremely distracting, and (in my case) it obscures the lower bar of envo.lv.

I would agree that it's not a very complex or innovative idea. I'm assuming Facebook is intentional in not doing the same sort of thing, aiming for simplicity (everyone in one circle).

FWIW, Diaspora has had "aspects" from very early on in its development.

I'd have to see these Circles in action, but if they're what I think they are (e.g. you'd make a "Work" circle, a "Family" circle, a "Casual Acquaintance" circle, etc.), then Diaspora has that concept: They call them "aspects". I must admi

I prefer smaller commits to larger ones because it isolates things (both improvements and breakage). I use git bisect when needed. You can always squash small commits into larger ones if really necessary, but teasing apart large commits i

I like YYYY-MM-DD for two reasons: 1) Sorting the string representations sorts in time order. 2) It eliminates ambiguity almost completely, because extremely few places use YYYY-DD-MM. The ambiguity of most ##/##/## dates is irritating.
