Yeah I'm completely fed up with this whole GitHub or GTFO mindset. Many good programmers: A.) Are great in their dayjobs and don't wish to spend their free time writing Open Source. Maybe they have families. Maybe they have non

Would mind telling me how you're decoding barcodes from the images? This is a problem I'm currently working on using js/canvas. Did you use ZXing?

Chiming in with shameless me too self promotion... I have a similar feature on http://tuned.io/ - it's a soundcloud search with autocomplete; you can play any of the search results instantly, etc. The music makes for g

There's a Starbucks Gold Card (earned from 30 drinks in 12 months). https://www.starbucks.com/card/rewards This gives you every 13th drink free (1 per 12 = 8.3% discount). I think this just crowdsources 1 mega gol

What is the current 'proper' way to do text sizing in CSS? %?, px?, em?, rem? I swear it changes everytime I look.

When I upgraded to Android 4.3 I believe Google asked if I wanted to route my messages through Hangouts (Google+). I assume this would send everything through Gchat/Google+ wherever possible and skip SMS...

Well presumably this makes it's way into V8 and therefore node. I'd assume the performance is better than Q. The biggest issue for me is Q's habit of hiding errors despite me defining a Q.onerror handler. Hopefully a native

Yes but Apple (or any the OS developer) is 10+ years behind MS in the enterprise architecture department; a market they'll probably never enter since they want margins on hardware.... not corporate bulk discount contracts. I don't

I've started using WebStorm for the last 6 months... it's sick for anything js/node/coffee/mv*. Also started messing with RubyMine. It's nice to have all your keyboard shortcuts standardized across IDE's.

At the very least, LinkSys stuff is interoperable and EVERYBODY has LinkSys so adding access points and whatnot has always been pretty effortless. I made the mistake of trying to mix and match brands once which is a great way to waste time.
