GSM cell's can be up to 40 km after which the problem becomes the timing (and 70 with extended cells). With cell's overhead, 20 km should be oke.

Well, all the gold in the world is a cube 21m on a side. (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold ) So this is 8 times as much as all the gold in the world. Which seems like a lot.

Sounds similar to tipit.to which friends of mine did. Unfortunately, like a lot of money transferring services, they ran into a lot of fraud. Any money -> something -> money service online makes it really attractive to launder stolen

But he only did the rewrite after the first version proved there was a demand for the product. Sounds better than spending a few weeks (he did 20h!) on V1, only to find out there is no demand for it.

AFAIK Netflix doesn't stream directly from AWS, but (while using it for their transcoding and so) uses a CDN. So blocking AWS wouldn't help in changing the quality of netflix, right? It certainly could be related though.
