Maybe I'm cynical, but because you emphasis the "money back" part, it feels more like a scam. I was sort-of half expecting an auto-name-generator: "$randomstring.com is still available!" If only 10% don't ask their money back, you make a pr

Actually, Google also seems to have a negative price for Android. As a device maker it's possible to get paid a percentage of add revenue on the devices you build.

Every Indiana jones movie has thought us that, when there are signs of warning, a large treasure is to be found. I wonder if these signs will deter or attract future visitors.

One of the biggest problems Meetup seems to have is that they have a 'one size fits all' model, which shows again here. And most of it is geared towards smaller groups. I'm one of the organizers of a Meetup with 4300+ members. Many things t

It's strange to find a blog of an iOS developer, complaining, which you can't actually read on an iPad. I can't scroll the page at all.

I haven't found any (documented) limits to their free API. While it doesn't have the new added benefits, will it stay free? Unlimited requests?

While Gruber posts this to point out how little control Eric Schmidt has, I'm not that surprised. For a company the size of Google, a few millions is pocket change (they make that in profit every hour (!)). I'm not surprised the founders (w

His graphs don't have the same Y-axis, and are over multiple years in 1 graph. This seems a better comparison: http://www.google.com/insights/search/#cat=31&q=json%2Cx... XML in decline, but still a lot bigger than JSON.

I love this quote, why he did this: "One of the things I learned was that bad things can only happen if good people do nothing. I consider myself to be a good person, so I had no choice but to act when I saw something like this happening."

AFAIK Ycombinator invests about 15K for 6%. That 6% would now be 12 million. That's a 800x ROI. Nice :)
