I've been seeing a lot of content on the internet talking about what "backs" Bitcoin or why it's worth what it is. No one admits this simple truth that you just did. It worth what someone is willing to pay for it. End of

I've never worked with a CTO that actually wrote code and I have worked with many that were not domain experts. The CTO is a manager, not an engineer. I'd be more interested in the skill of the developers themselves than the CTO.

I have 3.5TB backed up to Backblaze for $5 a month. I haven't found any other online backup option that provides anywhere near that cost. I use a RAID 1 to handle drive failure and also keep local backups on a NAS. BB is my third layer

Opera 12, with the Presto engine, had this same problem. It had a huge list of overrides (JavaScript and CSS) to fix problems with popular websites. This is inevitable when a browser has limited market share.

My IDE stays open (I keep all the common projects I work on open and just switch between them as needed). I rarely reboot. Startup time is completely irrelevant.

Define "real economic behavior". I don't see it as any different than buying and selling stock, unless you also consider that to not be real economic behavior. There's also loans and interest earning activities.
