As long as it is repeated often enough, everyone will accept it and most will also believe it. Even when corrected later, whatever was repeated more often will live on. This is why all the things you are supposed to believe are repeated and

How did the industrial revolution relate to copyright? Seems related to patents instead. In the context of copyright we are talking about books in that century. Shakespeare predates copyright. Though, we are not only talking fiction, but al

The industry can just push and promote people it picked itself and then bind them some other way. How would this work with open software, which is not public domain and often sees the original creator step away down the line?

I want it gone for decades already, but no one listens to me. It has always been my hope that AI can finally make it happen by incentivizing people with bottomless pits full of money to solve the problem.

If that was the reason, it should be completely abolished as the exact opposite was achieved. See for example this article [1] > unlike neighboring England and France, Germany experienced an unparalleled explosion of knowledge in the 19t

But why should this be allowed? Fairy tales are still popular, but they don't have copyright either.

My unfocused mind tends to be completely empty. For example, when I'm just looking out the window and think of absolutely nothing. Though, for some reason whenever I tell people I think nothing they think I just don't want to tell

I'll start caring once this arrives on sub $200 phones and only once my current sub $200 phone completely breaks down. Not that I have to pay - my company buys my phone either way. But for some reason you need to go sub $200 to get dua

I separate everything by decade > type > year (of start date). Don't even keep multiple seasons in the same folder if they are from different years. Still ends up mixing all types within a decade. But I prefer splitting things by

By using a bunch of CLI tools and self-written scripts. I don't use streaming (though, mpv can likely handle it). Prefer to have all media I use locally. Don't watch video on my phone, either.

Plenty of shows continue in a movie, like Firefly (2002) -> Serenity (2005), so I can see why you'd want to mix.

I do run a Jellyfin server for family, but I don't use it that much. I just do everything through a terminal, like I do most other stuff. It's faster and less finicky, I feel.

Is it a stretch to imagine a compromised LLM writing compromising code? I've been operating under the assumption that LLM code might be bad and not working, but I hadn't thought about it compromising a system.

Who was it again that said money is thrown out the window without any concern, you just have to stand below the right window? It was true then and it is true now. Really helps if the money you are throwing out isn't your own, too.
