Hmm. I just get it to consistently crash on my 14 Pro Max, latest stable iOS build. At least TestFlight will send those reports on over.

Users are your users shared with the users of that API service (which may include you if you use your own service), consumer in this case is you (the application you're running).

I find it funny someone submitted an HN account just created. Seems like a good way to possibly get your main in trouble, assuming the moderation tooling links your main and newly created throwaway.

You didn’t read any of the article at all. This is a way of exchanging API tokens in an effort to reduce leaks.

That website is somehow still kicking, years later. It’s a shell of its former self, though, having been sold a few times now.

Eh, I frequently switch. I just do it while I wait for the AC to kick in, not a huge deal.

Toyota's wireless carplay lets you switch in the Settings very quickly (10-15 seconds to get there). So they're not universally bad at least.

As a paying customer, this is 100% true. Reputation helps a lot, the core of the product being opensource for a quick skim for some sanity helped. Support being there to help with questions about why X was done the way it was helped. We don

A lot of the stuff they process are actually machine printed, but for some reason the OCR just rejected. Had a bud that worked at the Utah facility, and the same sentient can be found through out the comment section of the Tom Scott video.

I was in Texas and would have to compete against these teams really early. It kind of sucked, we had a pretty good design imho but we just got steamrolled early.

There are places for this kind of play, but I suppose they don’t give the same kind of thrill. Bot vs Bot scripting challenges online, like Battlecode https://battlecode.org/

And there’s more competition coming in this space with Epic’s Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN) and Verse (which is going to land into the base UE5 engine soon according to their talks, so useful outside of Fortnite!)

The lag on Carplay definitely seems to be the infotainment system, I have a new Corolla and have noticed similar issues (even compared to previous versions). The Mazda implementation is smooth and pretty high framerate.

It’s not really doxxing someone when they freely put their name out there, in many places, including in content they themselves have posted to Hacker News. That said, parent probably didn’t need to post a linked in profile either heh.
