Uh, what? The Go team introduced an idea, opt out telemetry with a one week delay before it was sent. Users said it wasn’t great, overwhelmingly. The Go team heard the feedback and made it opt in. What’s the problem, that’s a good thing.

While I think this is great overall, I think it’s terrible they’re just going to disable 2FA on accounts with no other options come the deadline. They should have just kept it enabled, but force the change on next login (or user interaction

Legal Eagle is a lawyer on YouTube who posts a lot of videos. The title echos his video title, and I guess this person just doesn’t have a lot of respect for him (he’s incredibly liberal for example, I guess that could play an affect? Biase

Structurally, from a people perspective, complicated but it’s not really systems complicated. IRC is simple, as is the software Freenode was built on.

Brightline is giving us a decent high speed rail in Florida, and I’ve heard they’re doing something on the west coast too. I can’t wait for it to be connected state wide, all the Disney trips … heh.

And who maintains the signing keys? It's just as centralized, with tons more complexity.. EDIT: Regardless, the point I'm making is this is just way more work for something that really doesn't need a blockchain.

They mentioned "legacy anticheat system" so it seems unlikely. Given that the source code for that internally is probably much more guarded, smaller specialized team, I would be surprised if it got included.
