The overall comparison ends up being: Command-T is more of a pain to get setup, but is faster. CtrlP is easier to get setup, but is slower.

Then they need to be moved to a different place, at least. Tell your CI server to use them, but more them out of the way for normal developers.

Nope! You should be writing your tests along with your code. Not "keep it in mind" actually write them. My first step in a new project is `mkdir spec`.

I do strict TDD when I can, and I consider spiking out things part of the process. If I need to approach a problem that I don't know how I'd solve just yet, I create some sample code I later trash and do a lot of work in the Ruby console. T

I'm pretty far into the extremist side of TDD, and I'll say that there is a thing as TOO many tests. Your test suite needs to run fast to be really useful. If you have thousands of full stack integration tests that takes an hour to run, you

Testing with front end javascript is more difficult due to different interpreters, much more variation in environment, etc. That doesn't mean you can't have tests for your core business logic at least in something like Vows or Mocha.

Then you didn't write good enough tests. I have deployed code that thousands of customers see without manually testing it. If my tests are green, I'm confident in deploying my code.

That, and GoDaddy is one that many internet users are primary customers. We can try to boycott Wal-mart, but most of their customers are not ones that know what SOPA is, let alone that Wal-Mart supports it.

I feel like they're examples of really awesome use cases, so it shouldn't matter if people can't use them. Not to mention, I feel like this tool is targeted for terminal junkies who likely already have awk/sed.

Do many people use these features? Most of the people that I know who use Google Reader, myself included, just use it as an RSS reader. Sending it to other social networks is the one thing that I do use, and they won't be changing that.

"If they want to make the iPad a laptop killer, they first need to make it more like Asus's Transformer, with a keyboard dock" Not only does Apple actually make a keyboard dock: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC533LL/B?fnode=MTc0MjU4Nj.

What? TextMate has great file finding functionality, but the find in project is certainly a weak point… It grinds to a hault on HDDs with large projects. It's alright with an SSD, but I wouldn't say it any better than using vim's Ack plugin

I'm worried about this. I live with 4 other internet heavy users, so I checked our usage last week, and saw that we've consistently been blowing past the 250GB cap. Last month, we hit 566GB. Comcast hasn't contacted me or shut off our servi

I believe that in Rails 3.1 they're including a fix for this, so work arounds like this won't be necessary anymore :)

Perhaps if iTunes didn't suck, and if I could use it in my browser of choice, I'd like it more. But as it stands I won't ever use it. Last.fm does everything I need and more, doesn't take up yet another spot in the in iTunes.

I've lost 30 pounds over the course of 6 months by eating more reasonable portions (No more downing 2 cokes, 1 lb of chicken wings, and fries in 1 sitting) and exercising more. I did this gradually, never too concerned about it. Sure it was
