I really like EdgeDB so far. Only played around with it for side projects up to this point but with 2.0 and the introduction of Object Level Security I will definiteyl use it in production. The EdgeQL is the first graph-based query language

I live in East Village right on the border with the LES. There's certainly development happening and new buildings coming up but when I walk around EV/LES it sometimes feels like I see more 2-3 story buildings than otherwise. Ther

I’d love to learn more about how you do this. Do you have any helpful resources that I can look at to understand the process of creating a DSL with TS + Pulumi?

Starting a new project and trying to decide between Go and F# of all things. Go seems fast and very widely used which means resources and help is widely available and it’ll be easier to find contributors. Meanwhile coming from the C# world

As someone who grew up in the 2000s I still don’t get it. I grew up in a time when this was totally fine and normal. I cannot imagine being so restricted as a child.

It always amazes me how anyone can be technologically literate and still think world governments should be given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to things like this. I agree OP, most people in government are probably not inherently e

This is true and I bring this up as well BUT consider this: probably less than 23% of US citizens make 90% of the important decisions for this country (the power law still holds) and if all of those people are on Twitter then OP's poin

Funny but Azure Repos actually has had this feature for a while. When I first joined Microsoft I was shocked that all our teams used Azure Repos instead of GitHub considering we own GitHub but as I've used Repos more and more I've

This is colossally bad advice when literally a fundamental part of the playbook to defeating alcoholism is getting it out of the house... Getting it out of the house and blocking domains are extremely valid tactics for getting over an addic

I wonder if this uses pretty much the exact same code as the desktop version. It seems to me that one of the big benefits of using Electron would be to have one codebase deployable as a desktop app and a website with very little change for

I graduated University in December, a semester early, with the intention of using that second semester off for traveling. Obviously, with COVID that didn’t happen so I instead decided to move my start date up at Big Tech Co. to February. No
