What I get confused about and fail to understand, is why people get excited about hearing that others are being furloughed. What's so good about people not being able to support their family, or possibly default on debt and even worse

In some of the skiing villages in Colorado the intersections were ripped out and roundabouts were added. I heard it was to make the towns seem more European. As a driver I realized it made traffic flow much, much faster. What I do wonder is

The thing about Chrome is that while the font rendering is horrible the dev tools are super awesome. At work I end up using FF for reading text and Chrome for inspecting/debugging.

Too often people forget that propaganda machines (media outlets) and biased education materials significantly shape the perspective people have of the world. That's the kind of 'mind control' which matters.

Fantastic selection! I love these bundles because the games are always great and the included soundtracks are a pleasure to listen to while coding.

You should check out http://www.bogleheads.org/ and post a question to the crowd over there. Review the forum and you'll find quite a bit of general information.

When I see a device like this I like to think that people familiar with JS can now tinker with hardware devices. I know some people who are comfortable with JS but aren't engineers and they may not be willing to learn Arduino C. Whatev

I wonder if the other games on Humble Bundle 5 have similar sales stats between customers paying full price on iOS and the sale price on Google Play.

I've been a Pluralsight customer for a while and find it money well spent. This is the first time I'm hearing of PeepCode and I hope that Pluralsight customers (and PeepCode customers) will benefit from this acquisition.

Nowadays x86 directly means 64-bit since it's the most common architecture. Also the 8GB of RAM directly suggests 64-bit support. I'm curious how much cheaper and faster it will be to develop for x86 compared to the PS3's Cell processor.
