Very valid points, agreed. I suppose my interest is more in the long-term durability in such companies.

It's probably worthwhile to compare this to calculators and mental math skills. To a certain extent, yes absolutely. If you programmed more yourself, you'd be better at programming than the version of you that spends any significa

Thanks for your response, that's certainly an exciting use case, and what I'd hope AR headsets could help with in the future. From your company's landing page, I saw the video and it looks like you're working with in-off

Thanks for your comprehensive response! I've also been watching the field for a while, have done some contracting for others trying to make their own AR devices, and tipped my toes in the water making some basic prototypes myself. >

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. Quick question about your use case - is the 3D overlay really that important, or would you get most of the value simply seeing the blueprints in your heads-up display, maybe doing a quick fin

I think it was a strategic mistake for Sam et al to talk about "AGI". You don't need some mythical AI to be a great company. You need great products, which OpenAI has, and they keep improving them. Now they've hamstrung

Ha, not even close. Not anonymous, upvoting and vote manipulation mechanics, and a very soft and liberal political bend, I'm leaning. I like it though, good to have some opposites to view so you don't get stuck in a bubble.

What tech trends do you consider not a scam, out of curiosity? AI is being thought of in the same likes as the internet, mobile, crypto, etc. I.e. new tech with huge opportunities.

I use AI to write 95% of my code, but I wouldn't say I 'vibe code'. Even if I have it generate an entire script (rather than a few functions), I'll give it a quick 30 second read-over before running it. I want to make su
