Most pollutants actually come from brake pads, so lack of ice will only knock total emissions down 30ish precent. But everyone likes to think its only the engine. Also consider the impact of mining copper and lithium. Its still in favor of

That leads to selling a crap e-car at a loss to push your profitable lines. A race to the lowest common denominator is not what we need.

My old ford areostar, very much the accepted minivan, was rwd, as are many safari, etc. That argument doesn't stand up to data. The fwd swich came primarily to reuse drivetrains cheaply from fwd sedans as they became popular and effici

There is no shortage of tech workers here. Can we stop politicizing tech for (or against!) Immigration? All this does is disincentivize their own educational programs.

Because cleanliness varies. If you make cars public, people will trash them like they do all public transportation, mostly through disinterest. The investment into your own car is a reflection of yourself and something you can take pride in

This reads like a Hells Angels book report, with a strained and tenuous connection to Trump. Sadly, had the author read more than a single book by the author, he would have grasped a much firmer connection to the hip association of HST and

Anyone reading reddit in the last 3 years has to know this is going on. But having seen some of these services I can say there are also HN accounts available on more than a few. HN's with over 200 karma are quite valuable there, I wond

Agreed, but this article neglects to mention most pertinent details while the 13yo autistic girl is bandied about to make it ok. 1. This was not HBO, but one of their many, often hyperactive IP firms. 2. IP firms are hyperactive because the

Yes. Adoption never waned, only implementation. Not as hip an monitizable as social buttons. Therefore less pressure on devs to support it. Find a way to push ads, and watch it take off again.

I find it hard to swallow that tech firms actively engaged in spying and censorship really care beyond their perceived brand value about such things. It comes down to the fact that you cannot enforce ethics, and tech is largely indifferent
