To explain myself, in a Texas Highschool I was sentenced to In School Suspension INDEFINITELY with my laptop confiscated for having shortcuts to directories on the network that I "shouldn't have had access to." After about a

It is definitely profiling and I bet his race had a lot to do with it. But I think the same thing would've happened if I had brought such a device to school - having been a super dark dressed goth in school, the fear would've been

As much of a Google fanboy as I am, I must admit that Apple is a market leader when it comes to UX. I do hope Google was taking some notes during this keynote. Siri's interaction in Apple TV is far superior than Android TV's Goog

I have too but requiring my finger to be touched (over top of the message) doesn't seem like it'll benefit. The shortcuts are nice, though.

This isn't Google's doing. Android TV's universal search is open to everyone. Netflix simply doesn't plug into any of the Android TV features. * Universal Search (nope) * Recommended to Watch (nope) * Using your phon

The iPhone DID bring something new to the table though. It brought a LOT of new to the table. Apple TV just.. doesn't.

I want to agree but the problem with that on this is that it can be gamed by buying one month, using that until a feature entices you, and then buying another month.

I wonder if that's part of the reason to move to subscription? To improve funding for that area? If you operate on perpetual licenses you have to support that software and find a way to get people to purchase again - via new features

I am a huge fan of "The Last Question." For those who have not yet seen it, it's worth listening to the author's reading: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3U30wSAV4Q
