As another person mentioned, the main thing keeping me from Crystal is proper editor support, and more specifically proper debugger support. I really like the experience working in python in pycharm, mainly for the integrated debugger. It w

For those who only read the title, this is actually only setting the default quality to standard definition. You can still watch 4k videos by changing the setting manually.

Is the Android App open source? I haven't been able to find the source code for the play store app on the jitsi github account.

On Linux at least, it simply does not work on Firefox. Something with webrtc, but I can't get video to work. Basically, it's a known issue [0] and the response is that maybe it'll get fixed eventually :( [0] https:/&#

Agreed. From the list of hardware OP listed I see 0 reasons why it won't work natively in Ubuntu. Even better than windows because you won't need any special drivers to download!

You're not the first person to mention QtCreator for c/c++ projects ( not even using QT ). Can you elaborate about what you like about QtCreator over other c/c++ IDEs?

For a more feature-full emacs IRC experience, I would recommend Circe[0]. It even supports showing images inline like slack. If IRC in emacs is not your cup of tea, I would recommend the web client/web server The Lounge[1], which as fa

Can you explain more about your setup? What if you're in a different workspace? Does the floating hidden emacs window follow you across workspaces?

What's specifically functional about this advantage. Can't you encode the buisness logic into types in non-functional languages as well?

For anyone here who loves i3, but has always had trouble getting full integration to work on their laptop ( sleep, screen brightness, etc. ), check out the Regolith project[0] It's a curation of several tools combined with i3 that give

If you switch workspaces on monitor A, whatever workspace you have on monitor B will not move. So what you want is already supported. Just don't switch over to monitor B and switch it to a different workspace.

That's fair. I was really looking at the bottom of the barrel for reasons github would do this, other than vendor lock-in.

Since we're already using O(N) space, it would be interesting to see how this compares to Radix sort[0], which is O(N) space but O(N) time ( due to just hashing everything ). Like others have said, it would be cool to see quadsort stac
