FWIW, this has been one of the worst seasons for mobile phone sales in a decade. [1] It may be telling if the latest from Apple will change that or not. [1] https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/17/global-smartphone-ma

It isn't sustainable, and it's a sign of bad leadership waiting for the proverbial (or literal) "hit by a truck" principle to show up. You are correct in that it is the maintainers's choice. No doubt about it. But n

I'd argue that almost every historical figure becomes a meme at some point, even through the lens of many robust historical accounts. We don't usually care about the details of their lives, and that detail is often lost when infor

This is interesting, but is it that surprising? Many of these models are fairly large (usually measured in GB, as the article rightly points out). But how would this use of space fair against a dictionary of the N most common sequences seen

I think your concerns are correct. I realize expecting everything to fit into a favorite IDE is a bit much, but anecdotally it helps me a lot in a new or rarely used language. Assists, muscle memory finding things, autocomplete, etc. really

As a programmer new to the language, this is a fantastic resource. I don't know how many hours I've already lost to some of the finer gotchas of the language. After being seeped in Java and its idiosyncrasies for so long, how humb

This gets messy at larger scales, both as teams grow and software grows. Resetting to a know failsafe works as long ask the risk of someone changing a backend service (or, multiple services) at the same time is low. Once it isn't, y

I believe XML has it baked directly into the official spec. JSONSchema is great, but I wouldn't call it a standard yet, and anecdotally I haven't seen it as often as I'd like in use (i.e. I either need to run kubectl --dry-ru
