No kidding. Probably quite gruesome to the spectators but a very quick death for the condemned.

I do not miss manual patching one bit. If you were lucky the publisher hosted the patches themselves. If not you're downloading them from some potentially sketcky third party site. And then you often had to apply the patches sequential

I'm in the US, but it's terrifying trailing behind someone doing 30mph in the acceleration lane trying to merge into 70mph+ highway traffic. I don't understand their mindset, or if they realize how dangerous that is.

Probably depends how you define "influencer." I remember reading a few months ago about "fake" influencers who aren't getting paid but pretend to shill products anyway so people think they are an influencer.

As the saying goes, the markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent. Even if someone can correctly predict a market crash, correctly timing it to make money is extremely difficult. You could go all in on far out of the mone

$80 is pretty nuts and I don't think I would buy it for that much. I got in on sale for I think $25.

CMANO is great if you can get past the spartan graphics and UI (and to be honest the target market for such games probably doesn't care much about the presentation as long as the gameplay is solid). There's something uniquely sati

General purpose video hosting is very different from porn video hosting. Pornhub uses a ton of dark patterns and outrageous advertising that's accepted for porn but would not fly outside of that.

Reddit has quite a few blind spots when it comes to obvious advertising. Disney properties get a free pass, for example.

Or their domain registrar drops them. And their hosting company. And their ISP doesn't allow them to self host. And then they're effectively blackballed from the internet.

Introversion's story is pretty interesting. Early success with Uplink, then Darwinia didn't do so well, DEFCON sold amazingly well on Steam, then I'm pretty sure they were almost financially ruined by porting Darwinia to Xbox

My guess is the abundance of metrics. A manager sees a stat like "less than 5% of Windows users open Paint at least once a month" (I just made that up), and they see something that can be cut.

That's just it, though. If 99% of your mobile internet usage consists of <1MB requests it doesn't matter if you're on 3G,4G,or 5G.

With data caps I don't see much use for it. I still think it's hilarious that carriers advertise download speeds that would blow through most people's monthly data allowance in at most a couple of minutes.

Driver had a small part in Inside Llewyn Davis but I thought he was great. Sort of a dry comedic performance. He had a sort of similar role in Logan Lucky as well. He's a good comedic actor.

Maybe I'm missing something but this sounds like a disaster. Is this the end of locally stored music libraries? Epub readers? Anything that relies on access to shared storage? If so I'm done with Android.

The conjecture (that hasn't been proven) is that every integer that does not equal 4 or 5 mod 9 has infinitely many solutions (integers that = 4 or 5 mod 9 are proven to have no solutions). Parametric equations for 1 and 2 have been fo
