YUP. Critical functions (doors?!) should all be on the left side of the keyboard if you're going to make me use the mouse. Wonder if the publishers use DVORAK or something.

This isn't true, as far as I know. Some menus are, but hotkeys have been changed quite a bit. Quite a few menus seem mouse only. I can't ABABABABABAB to add a bunch of beds to a carpenter anymore, DD doesn't mine. The hotkey

Most of it seems about resolving the tension between javascript, peoples opinions, the DOM, and the role of the server. Also there's the whole fractal of tool chains, transpilers, frameworks, libraries and design patterns that exploded

Neat! I made a regular ol' spatial grid hash (no hierarchy) in C# a few days ago for a boids thing. It occurred to me then doing the whole simulation on GPU was the way to get nutty performance, but I haven't got to it yet. Very c

I mostly agree with this. I'll come to python's defense though. Python is a gorgeous language wearing an ugly hat. The hat has __multiple out of place brims__, all of which are about two underscores wide.

Finding the big content to prime with is tricky! It's definitely a bottleneck. I've found revisiting old inspirational things can help as long as enough time has passed.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I could go looking for fans? I'm making a text editor/game where you write text documents with tentacle arms. Learn ritual magic based on what you write / activate machines by writing. I

Number 6 felt like it was written for me specifically, because of what I've been working on for a few years ( https://twitter.com/LeapJosh/status/1552977798452609024 ) I sure hope OpenAI lets me in soon. :p

Interesting! This made me wonder -- would this kind of optimization be recognized and rewarded in colossal scale organizations? I've seen comments about Google multiple times here where people say you wont be getting promotions unless

This probably depends on the parent. One of my older brothers died when I was in 3rd grade. After that, the head vice was pretty much constant until my mother kicked me out at 14. Things rapidly improved after that.

I've built a few coal forges. My insulating material tends to be a mixture of 2:3 plaster of paris to fine quartz sand. I bought the sand from a pool/aquarium supply store. It holds up well to the heat, but not so much the rain. I

If there's a good AR headset you'd have to be able to stop me (and a million other people) from forcing wikipedia onto the device. That might be a harder technical challenge than actually making the AR headset.
