The website has a wikipedia feel, free and useful information. There are lots of fans currently, but at the time(and to this date), I get people questioning legitimacy due to a having a white shadow in my CSS.

Make things pretty. No amount of hard work and usefulness can amount to a beautiful product. I have strong feelings about Lean Startup who told me to create a MVP, which made me look like an amateur. So, listen to the marketing people and w

When you have a project, you learn by necessity. When you are taking a course to expand your abilities, you learn voluntarily. I find learning via projects is the fastest and most useful. I am unsure if I will take courses ever again.

I really like my windows 10 set up, it took me a few weeks to make it perfect by: >Swapping my HDD with a SSD >Fresh install of windows, removing the crapware that came with my laptop And its incredible, I have about 7 chrome windows

That is the dream. But remember that the IRS doesnt care much about the 90%. They DO care about the 0.1%. Doing something like that is a high risk way of getting audited.

I used to think HN comments were smart, until you read a thread about Automotive. Then you realize that this board has no Auto experience, upvotes/downvotes based on their cult hero. Since HN rules say we cant hypothesize about Tesla A

Audi/VW are not considered very good companies. They used to have Best In Class interiors which gave them a boost in the luxury markets, but they are average in 2018.

> But I do not believe that suddenly any of them will be able crank out a cost competitive electric car with the same range in any large quantity. This is ignorant and downplays the companies that have existed for decades. Tesla isnt pro

I didnt get my Masters in a specifically technical field. Engineering Management was 60% Industrial Engineering and 40% business. I found 2 classes useful- >Lean Principles- changed my life, I started using Industrial Engineering at home

Isnt it the same Academy? Why would science be assumed to be uncorrupted?

Just a guess- The way the video is generated is based on specific points in time. While going back to that part of the video with it already downloaded would make sense, it might require going back decently far to get all of the pixels.

Confirming. Javascript is really cool when you learn it. However, the moment you dip into libraries you are dependent on someone else's work. Then you run into a problem because Native doesnt let you use a specific library, and googlin

Anecdotally, I have seen some disaster marriages and it explains how divorces can happen: >Pregnant shotgun weddings >Knew the person for a few months, moved to stay with them in another state, married and pregnant within 1 year. >

I keep thinking he MUST be smart right? Or did he get a winfall on Paypal and now throws a bunch of money at talented engineers? I remind myself smart engineers might not be talented leaders.

Lets stop caring about the Nobel institutions. They have proved they can and will be corrupt as needed. Politics should not validate science, but people treat it so when we care about the Nobel prizes.

People are responding that its 'okay'. But the issue isnt that they posted the link, its that they likely are using bots to upvote as well. I have a hard time understanding if people hate google or if Firefox is advertising here.

For Engineers- Capitalism/Customers For Academics- Whoever tells you to run the study. Which one do you think is more often corrupted for centuries at a time?

I have 10 years in Industry, testing hypothesis is testing. Building a product that is bad because 'X person wanted it' is bad Capitalism and will be punished. Academia doesnt have this same customer focused delivery.

This is why I believe in Engineering and not the modern "Academia Science". Totally corrupt, Ive seen it when I talked to professors about getting my PhD. You prove what they want proven. One is going to have millions of customers
