Some cars work this way logically already. If you scan my Audi with a compatible tool it will read various functional modules. If one dies than that modules’ systems go down but other nearby functions work. Child locking is a separate unit

My wife worked at Travelport in the late 2010s. They ran a lot of Delta’s systems but Delta of course has their own infrastructure. Some of the history of Delta’s teams is intertwined with the companies that were merged together to form Tra

It’s definitely a cycle. Pre-Temu/AliExpress I worked at a store that sold high end purpose made knives and low end “fantasy” knives. As soon as a factory was opened in China by a major brand the original (sans branding) would suddenly

That’s often how it works now. My wife uses Etsy as a Pinterest for Temu. She just finds the original listing and orders it direct from Temu.

There are multiple tiers of Xeon. The “base” tier (I am very much over-simplifying) is the same silicon as consumer desktop/mobile with some features turned on like ECC. Mobile workstations and the like get Mobile Xeons. It’s less craz

Yes. The biggest limiting factor for “cheap” is building around a CPU with a supported GPU. A second hand RX 4xx/5xx series card is a good pick if you can’t find a chip with supported iGPU.

There are a couple points to consider and a couple that refute some of your concerns. First, you don’t need a full off grid battery setup to benefit. With time of use rates a battery that covers peak usage and even recharges under low time

And my personal favorite, the Radeon 9100 which was actually a Radeon 8500 in PCI format instead of AGP. With a slightly tweaked 8500 Mac Edition bios you would have a very fast GPU for first gen PCI Macs through the Yikes G4. I believe som

I’ve been working about the same hours for the past two years and it’s been much better for me. Bouts of near-burn out are infrequent and I can manage through them. The work still gets done and I don’t feel trapped at work.

This is how I charge also. I’m going to eventually have a hard wired EVSE mostly for solar timing but I usually am fine at 12-16A on a NEMA 6-20 or 5-20. My $120 unit off Amazon is more reliable than the $1200 Porsche charger I also have (a

I’m not a Tesla-stan but I can give this one a “it could have happened to any manufacturer” explanation. Soap is a common method for getting rubber pads onto metal pedals in the aftermarket world. Dish soap dries out and becomes less slippe

Remember that “at least 2%” is what we know. We don’t know the real number because it’s self reported and reconnaissance show it’s over 2%. The EPA needs to actually audit and find the real values. It could be 3, 4, 5 percent, etc and work

I agree we can do it. It just has to be done. Aka give the EPA some teeth and require actual monitoring and enforcement rather than a self reported fantasy.

See the video I linked or the other commenters with references that Methane is a higher contributor to global warming than CO2 by 30x. It’s not about the carbon removed, it’s about the methane leaked.

I think this is a literal example of a solution searching for a problem. I charge my car at home. Not everyone gets to do that, but solving that issue is a better use of resources. On a road trip the 20 minutes of fast charging is welcomed.
