For six months I exercised three times per week with a personal trainer at set appointments to make sure I would go. Lots of weight lifting. That provided the fastest results. I also improved my diet though my sweet tooth remains. I've

Not sure if this really paints the most accurate picture. For one, LA has plenty of unmarked crosswalks that are completely legal to cross. When I worked in Downtown LA I never had a problem with this. Secondly the LAPD regularly does the r

Based on this[1] discussion, it seems like Thunderbolt 2 equipped Macs have DP1.2 and should be able to drive it at 60hz. It seems like someone with an Asus 4K screen had trouble with this in OS X (Win 8 worked). TB1/Display Port equip

I haven't done too much Ruby myself, but the line looks sufficiently Perl like I believe the subtle change converted the first line (rolled out) from: (excusing my Perl-Ruby mashup) if (params[:user_id].present){ if (!@owner){

I work at a Perl based startup and we're writing new code and designing new systems all the time. There seems to be quite a few Perl shops in LA though most of them have been around for a long time.

OS X uses portions of FreeBSD including the userland so if you're used to that you probably won't find too many gotchas when using FreeBSD in that regard. I've never touched a straight *BSD install to know the practical diffe
