It is stunning the comparison between this and the BLM protests. The local protest to me had a tank at it, for a peaceful protest in a park. This is next to the capital, this is people breaking into a building, and all that's there is

Yeah I've noticed I've even been drawn to something because of the mindless scroll to that's pretty neat, the button to buy it is right in front of me. I suspect this really only works for more novelty things like clothing th

I think it depends where I am in the process and what's been said. No response what so ever to the initial contact is perfectly fine and understandable. If I'm in the second round, and you mention to email you about scheduling the

I'm surprised how limited the options for 75% keyboards are. I'd think it'd attract a lot of people who went down to TKL.

This seems to be just a recycling list of a lot of the top posts on /r/mkb from the last few months. I'm honestly surprised it's on HN. You'd be surprised how many people are programming on these. The current switch

I miss it so much. Nothing else has come close. I'm surprised Spotify hasn't added a feature like it.

The problem I was facing is when I get distracted by unrelated rabbit holes of thought. An audiobook is like a train, it's going to continue no matter what I'm thinking about. I also tend to listen to a lot of podcasts which can b

Oh yeah, I can't do nonfiction books like that. There are few history podcasts I listen to and am fine with as history is just a series of stories anyway. But for anything more conceptual it needs to be read and not listened to.

The best coding challenge I had to do was when the company basically gave me a set of requirements, said build this. Took about an hour. Then during the interview, I was asked about my decisions, and blockers. Afterwards I was given another

I've been looking on Mastadon, and not finding that much. Especially compared to Twitter. Might just be where I'm looking though.

Computer science and labs kept changing. When I went through they were doing C. Apparently they don't do that anymore. The order of the two kept flipping too from what I remember.

One thing to keep in mind about the 30k number. Unless it's changed it is percentage based with a min. If you're making less then 50k it's nothing, if you're making 50k it's 17k in repayment. If you're making a

I and a lot of other students used the payment from mentoring to eat, and pay rent during the job search after graduation. The one thing that Lambda claimed it did, was never count anyone doing that as having been placed in a job. Forced me

Even worse, since the curriculum changes so much there's a chance that the person grading you is three months ahead, and also hadn't actually originally gone through the unit they need to grade at all.

I think that there's another factor to this. The cohorts have grown over time. When you have thirty people in the entire cohort the experience is going to be very different then when you have 130 or more. The earlier students reviews a

There's a bookstore near me with a cafe (that has alcohol), and runs a pub trivia night. I had to fight myself not to pick up something every time I went in for that.

I've found that if I'm fully caught up on sleep, 7 hours is what I naturally sleep. However if I'm behind (slept less then 7 hours for multiple days) then I will sleep random amounts until I get back into a routine.

I countered this by setting a go to sleep alarm. Alarm goes off, time to wind it up and head to bed. I do have a morning alarm (multiple of them) but I've been waking up before they go off.
