You're coached to be confident through interviewing. Advice like "apply for anything saying up to five years of experience required". Combine that with a lot of grads who aren't experienced in interviewing can lead to th

I went to a college with a coop program. This sorta seems to be similar but much shorter. But at least I was paid for that. I also graduated Lambda School (I'm no longer in their slack). I can see how this is pitched internally to stud

I'm a bit fan of split space boards as well. Luckily there seems to be some movement to bring that to 65%+ market. I have space and backspace at the bottom of the board, and it saves my pinky a ton of work.

Some switch testers will come with caps. Otherwise you can just get blank caps rather cheaply and put them on. If you want a slightly more in-depth experience, there are hotswap macro pads that will let you change out switches, with keycaps

I've been coding a bunch on a Pinebook Pro. Using the browser is painful. Not painful for looking up documentation/stack overflow/other sources. But on a JS heavy site it's miserable in comparison to a Chromebook, my pho

That said, not all companies are that big. I did support at an engineering firm that built all it's own machines for about 400 users. It was kinda nice, we could replace any part ourselves same day. As parts got older the machines were

The worst is the highly one directional connections too. Sure I have a gig down. I have 25mbps up though. The upload is the same for every package from 300mbps down and above. I'd happily have less download for more upload.

The other interesting thing I've noticed about some of the mechanical keyboards pcbs is that they'll just expose i2c headers even with an integrated controller (gergo is like this). It's semi popular to shove oleds on them. I

Also not really addressed, what's the life span of a vending machine? I know I've seen some ancient ones out there, but most seem pretty new. It says new ones are 3k, if it lasts five year that's sixty dollars a month.

Kinda curious what the noise level is with those fans. I know there's no proper rack mount servers there that need the fans running full blast, but I imagine 4x120mm fans is still loud.
