I think the decision of which cross platform technology to use mostly depends on a team's preferred tech stack. C++ -> QT C#/.NET -> MAUI/Blazor JS/Web -> React.Native/Electron Dart -> Flutter This is wh

Definitely use case specific, as it wouldn't work generally, especially for domain driven data models. The schema I'm thinking of specifically represents a data model that is flexible enough where migrations are extremely rare[1].

What pain points have you experienced with "many sqlites per customer". I'm considering transitioning to something similar but would love to know what pitfalls I might not be considering.

Has anyone ever used multiple SQLite databases per tenant/account? For sake of argument, let's say I have a fixed schema/format that will never change and I never need to aggregate queries across multiple customer accounts. A

Even the OP implies that there is some mental benefit to using hope as a coping mechanism. Even still, I would think most practitioners are doing it because they receive some sort of practical benefit now, in addition to the hope they hold

> What question does a belief in an afterlife answer? It’s not answering questions of the physical or observable world. It’s attempting to answer the “Why” (meaning/purpose) questions rather than the “How” (method/cause).

I’ve been grappling with the same questions/concerns. We are very heavily leaning towards Blazor because it allows us to leverage a significant amount of existing C# code and existing dev resources. Personally I hope more stacks start

We use both appcenter.ms and the internal test track features of the Play Store. On boarding an external user into appcenter takes a few more emails/clicks but they both accomplish similar use cases for us.

Thanks for the helpful response. It sounds like Keygen considers a "subscription" and a "license' to be a 1-to-1 relationship, correct? Most billing/subscription managers I've looked into support the concept of

This seems like it only works if Okta knows how to integrate with your app (How do you create an app Okta knows about that doesn't force customers to use Okta or AD). Also, my understanding is it only works for Okta's paying "

Maybe I’m wrong, but Keygen seems more focused on licensing the application instance or the device/machine rather than the user. For us, the application is cross platform. You are granting a user account access to use and be associated

The end user is not the consumer segment that cares about this. As evidenced by many comments in this thread, most Apple users value the curated app store and its payment features. App developers just enabled Apple to get away with it. The

I see no incentive for Apple to become motivated to do this on their own. Google, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft all wish their app stores could be as lucrative as Apple’s, and most of these are trying to do exactly what Apple is doing. What oth

Basically a transaction receipt is all the app gets. It’s up to the app developer to associate this purchase transaction with any app related user identity information. RevenueCat had a decent explanation for this considering this is their

This sounds very similar to what we’re doing and we are in the process of migrating most of the EAV models (other than the relationships) to a json1 column (Which I’d argue is still EAV just in document format). Keeping the relationship for

What’s the application for this? EAV is often an anti-pattern when a schema could be defined, but I’m actually using it as well. Our application is an end-user-defined database for mobile data collection. The EAV model in SQLite is a bit of

While Xamarin has some pain points it definitely satisfies a market need for “native” cross platform development. My company uses it quite a bit. With .NET MAUI on the horizon as the evolution of Xamarin it has a future. Although I do wonde

This is our experience too. We have 5 software engineers maintaining 3 mobile apps, 1 desktop app, 1 SDK product, and 1 web-app (Blazor) all with a shared C#/.NET code base that is bringing about $6M annually if you include the associa

I agree. I think the secret to workflow abstraction relies in the relationships between the data. A lot can be inferred about workflow based on the direction, cardinality and type of relationship being represented.
