Personally I think microVM are the future but nothing wrong with a solid proxmox setup. Probably we'll converge on a virtualised IO / Storage layer running microVMs beneath for isolation and security. Keep the network and storage

DRAM isn't nearly as hard to get into as compute. The price fixing stuff is going to bite them in the ass someday soon by massively increasing the incentives for new players to enter the market and compete.

Is GDDR7 that's ECC then just the super well binned stuff (plus the ECC parts added) ? I've been wondering why we don't see more cards using it as they perform pretty damn well. Take the Nvidia 6000 Pro Blackwell for example.

Kind of seems like we should be making chips with both. Big HBM stack on top as a sort of huge L5 cache like thing. And then a bunch of DRAM type sockets (like LPCAMM) around the exterior.

For mobile devices they unfortunately do a much less technical analysis compared to "real" cameras and lenses. Or they just don't publish those parts. It's really unfortunate

It's not due to the aperture blades. It's due to the amount of spherical aberration in the lenses. Professional camera lenses carefully control this. It's actually one of the only intentional "flaws" added to lens.

Isnt that slower though? Maybe Im not thinking of ROM specifically (the architecture/chip) but a different form of read only cache that can be located close to the compute and is super fast
