So you're saying that the police antagonized people, and that made them so angry that they set a limo on fire? That doesn't ring true to me. It makes much more sense the other way: the police were there because they were needed, t

I think your analysis isn't totally fair because it ignores the public's varying appetite for console gaming. Maybe it's better to consider each console relative to its generation? If you do that, it becomes clear that Ninten

If you're going to play devil's advocate, you should read the indictment first and see what the devil is being accused of. Here are some damning allegations: 1. They lied to the courts to cover up the fact that they were, in fact,

I've been looking to switch away from namecheap, too. Their AJAXy UI feels more flaky/buggy than what they had 5-10 years ago. Gandi.net is probably what I'll move to. It's quite popular with their users, and only slight

I'm all for good testing, and for encouraging programmers to think more carefully, but most of these items strike me as needlessly pedantic. My goal is to build software that works in practice. If I have the time to build in edge cases

Hey Hackers! Brooce is a language-agnostic job queue I made in Go. I built it because I like to work on personal projects in a variety of languages, and I want to be able to use the same job queue regardless of what language I'm writin

I own a small web hosting company, and I'd like to tell you that it's more complicated than that. Nearly all of our chargebacks are the result of criminals paying with stolen credit cards, and then using the accounts as a platform

I used to be involved with this sort of thing, and it's actually pretty interesting stuff. There are enormous open source projects, operating largely out of public sight, that have recreated the WoW server backend in most of its glory.
