"It’s five days of delivery, six days of service and Express Mail seven days a week" "It also will save more than $3 billion a year" If both of those are true, the change is reasonable.

Of course, you can just setup your own load balancer on EC2 with HAProxy and stunnel, but that's a PITA. and PITAs add complexity and cost.Using ELBs is the best solution, but it's a non-issue if you go dedicated.

Right, like the fact that an instance can have only one ip address. Virtual hosting for multiple websites with SSL goes right out the window. There are a couple solutions to this problem, but they're either impractical or just plain unacc

Putting the blog in a sub-directory on your startup's domain will give you more content on that domain and therefore more "google juice". If you put it on a subdomain, it is considered a completely different site. In this case, just like i

I'll take it! :) I don't know why you would shut something down that has a decent rank. When you run a forum, you have to moderate. Spammers can be reduced by requiring a captcha and/or a question they have to answer (What is 3 + 4?). If

I wouldn't require account creation until the user wants to post something. Store their temporary preferences in the session.

Why do I have to create an acccount to see "more"? I clicked on the "more" link for entrepreneurs, then, on the next page, had to choose the checkbox for entrepreneurs and click continue. You should automatically recognize which "more" lin

The first application I ever wrote, theoretically saved the company $10.2 million dollars. I was working as a systems administrator at a Big 3 automotive supplier and identified a gap in our million dollar production system. If we ever los

Eating 6x a day provides no metabolic advantage for losing weight than 2-3x a day…it’s still about calories and blood sugar/insulin control I totally disagree with this one. I've used this technique in the past and just started using it

I would start by finding the best online communities of DIYers and read everything you can. If you're near a big city, you can probably find IRL groups to check out. You can do anything alone, but you can accelerate the learning process b

If I were starting over right now, I would definitely get in on the bioengineering/genetics stuff. The barriers to entry are now very low compared to the last 20 years and they keep getting lower every day. Imagine if you could hack a new

Just a quick word of advice. I'm not sure the "Sorry, I lost all your data." testimonial is a particularly good one. Yeah, I get it that it is a reference (and link) to the mag.nolia debacle, but most people won't. It looks like a troll.
