I still have quite a lot of equipment in the field that is 10/half. PLC's that control commercial HVAC are expected to last the life of the building, at least until a refurb or two. Cisco has some switches that can't go down

You don't have the right to tell others how to run their business. You do have the right to take your business elsewhere. In a free market people vote with their wallet and there's plenty out there that accept the zero support mod

Debunked or not I personally haven't seen it make a difference in sleep. But it DOES make these screens much more pleasant to the eye in dusk/evening hours. I'm a fan.

This is going to be a big impact for a lot of our customers. The app we use only supports user/pass auth and lots of people set up special sending only gmail accounts to just get it out and not impact security of their orgs commercial

I've got a 6th gen X1 carbon and under windows the thing has the fan on high all the time. Switched to Linux (mint) and I went a couple months before I heard the fan, doing all the same things. I don't know what windows is doing t

As a HVAC controls technician that routinely explores mechanical and other spaces of commercial structures; YES there is a LOT of under utilized space within those building envelopes. You will quite often see janitors and other permeant bui

I can't think of a legitimate reason for it other than to create problems for people that leave Apple. That practice sounds pretty dirty.
