No. They're not the police or the court, they have no business playing ones. Attitude like yours gives us stupid privacy-violating terrorism and "protect-the-children" laws.

Hmm... most subscription packages around here are of type "1000 Min, 1000 SMS, 1000 MB" or some such so B profits aren't really high. Also pricing being competitive, there's not much difference in SMS/data/call prices outside dataplans. Tha

That makes no sense: here they sell unlocked phones but you still have to keep contract for two years if you want it subsidized. So there's no reason to rise phone prices: you still have to pay full contact subscription even if you change t

Depending on the charger really. My car charger for example also couldn't keep up with the 3GS's power draw when using Navigon - even when it was connected to the charger, the battery was losing power by ~5% per hour.

Anectodal - here in Slovenia all mobile phone operators just ran out of all Galaxy Nexus shipments (same as they did when S2 launched). Pricing is practically identical vs. iPhone (both S2 and GN sell for about 400-430€ in widely-used subs

Well, Unix shells under Windows don't even implement forking, so this test is kinda meaningless isn't it? It's like racing cars where one of the cars has its wheels taken off.

Huh... you're kinda wrong. Microsoft has never been stronger in server market and it's one of the platforms where their penetration is growing.

It doesn't use this, but if you check the diagnostic dumps in iOS5 (it's buried somewhere in settings) you'll see it gathers pretty much simillar data (I've seen battery status, app installation, free space etc. in there). What remains to b

Just buy a Mac and leave Microsoft if you don't like it and please post something constructive / informational instead of rants. Really, it's OK to not like a product/platform/company. It's also OK to not buy and use those products.

Fragmenting Android even further would only kill their competitvness. None of the developers want to go back to times when you had to build your app for each manufacturer's phones separately. Forking Android would just push more quality app

Important questions about that: * How many users are 5% (there's a difference between 5 people and 5000 people)? * How critical is this feature to them (Meaning: Will they drop our product if we remove it? Or just be slightly annoyed?) * Ho

Well, there are some of us who don't want to be guinea pigs for UI testing every 6 months so we're switching to something more stable. For me, Mint has been a good option - I retain the repositories without the silly GUI change and half-bro

Probably because the userbase of 3rd party file explorers is so marginal it's not worth alienating less tech-savvy users. The common theme from OldNewThing blog is that they usually don't cater so much to power-user audience, since power-us
