As someone who had ADHD as a child and now still has it as an adult, I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about. Yes, of course some (many?) kids are misdiagnosed, but it is a real disorder with often awful consequenc

I believe the $2999 price is for licensing Zwibbler so you can have it on your own site/app. For example if you had a company that made custom t-shirts, users could create their own designs using Zwibbler on your site. On the other han

I just finished reading The Three-Body Problem, which covers some of the same ground... though the aliens in that book end up communicating in some more exotic ways. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Three-Body_Problem_

Not exactly, Arrival is more about how learning a new language can change the way you think. If you want a fiction novel that IS very similar to this, I recommend reading The Three-Body Problem.

This hasn't been true for me, if anything it seems faster these day. I get most 2-day shipped stuff in less than 24 hours.

They are calling them racist due to what they perceive as racist behaviour, not because they are white.

First of all, it isn't racism to believe that someone of another race would be treated better. Secondly, that family has no doubt dealt with a ton of racism in their lives, it certainly wouldn't be without precedent.

As much as consumers may like demos, all the data I've seen shows that having a demo actually decreases sales of games, which is why most games don't have demos anymore.

Lua can be as accessible as Basic in the right environment, it has a very simple syntax for most things.

That makes sense in a perfect world where the abstractions are perfect, but they rarely are. We make assumptions about the abstractions that often turn out to be false. Obviously a certain level of abstraction is necessary, but in general m

My comment makes sense in the context of the original article, if you didn't bother to read that, then I can't help you.

This is a nice analogy, but these days I feel like abstraction is usually a bad thing. By its very nature, making things more abstract makes it less clear what you are actually doing, you end up going through all these layers of indirection

I think you misunderstood what he wrote... He was saying that it's hard to compete in F2P unless you use the same scummy tactics that everyone else does. That's why he made Clicker Heroes 2 as a non-F2P game.

Why is the visualization of the battle so boring? Unless I'm missing something, it looks like the projectiles look the same as the agents.

Yeah I guess it depends on what kind of diet it is, but most people on a keto diet will avoid sweet vegetables like carrots, corn, etc.

Ehh, I'm kind of doubtful. I'm sure that stuff will get more popular, but it's not going to replace triangle-based rendering for MOST games for a very long time... especially since we're moving into the realm of VR where

As a person with ADHD I've had to learn to be aware of my current mental state at any given time. At certain times I have an extremely hard time concentrating, but those times are WAY more rare when I'm on keto. The other thing I&

I don't think it's a question of whether it supports it or not, it's that Coda does it by default and has built the rest of the tool around that feature.

How low do you mean when you say low carb? And for how long? Whenever I first start doing keto I can be irritable, but after getting into ketosis I have much more self control (way more than when not dieting at all)

I can only speak for myself, but in the period where I am keto-adapting, I feel irritable and have low self control... but once I'm keto-adapted (ie. in ketosis), I have MUCH better self-control than normal.

This would explain why the ketogenic diet is so effective, beucase your brain starts using ketones instead of glucose for energy. I know for me, as a person with ADHD, I have MUCH better self control when I'm on keto then when I'm

It says right in the article that the most likely cause is the way Apple only makes sure new OSes work well on the newest devices. I've found this to be anecdotally true myself.
