"The fact that the department gave a useless reply is no surprise." That's exactly why I asked why it was posted here. This just isn't noteworthy. It seems to me it's being upvoted because of the OP.

No, no capital news. Almost certainly this is a measurement error or some other mistake. If a couple of years from now nobody found an error and a bunch of independent groups reproduced the results, then it's time for capital news!

The promise of money may be fuzzying your logic. Finance is a domain with a lot of money. So, if you have domain knowledge and can help the firm make a lot of money, you can make a lot of money too. But if you don't, don't expect a dime mor

In this part of the world (Hungary), if you say "I want to make between $X and $Y", it translates to "I'll work for $X". Assuming $X is sensible, they will offer you $X minus 20-30% (sometimes even 50%). You can try to negotiate, though Big

The existing C++ standard, ISO/IEC 14882, was published in 1998 and updated in 2003. The new standard has just been approved, and will hopefully come out in 2011 and will be called C++11. So, a new C++ standard takes about 10 years. For the

I think the Flickr UX is pretty good, but I've only been a user for a couple of months. So maybe the problem is that the Flickr UX can't grow with the user/photographer?

I'm using Firefox 5.0.1, I just clicked "Check for updates" and it said I'm up-to-date. Shouldn't 6 come out first? Isn't it too early to talk about 7? I think this is bad marketing from Mozilla, they're totally confusing people.
