Thank you for typing that all out. I agree completely. As a visible minority in tech, I'm simply more attracted to companies where I feel l won't stick out like a sore thumb. Of course I want to hired for my qualifications, but I&

Of course companies should only hire qualified people. Diversity is about gaining new perspectives and ensuring you're creating an environment _all_ your employees can enjoy and feel comfortable in. Companies, rightly, don't want

Seems more like iOS 7 is the only convenient thing to do. That's fine, but the current title makes it read more like a weak attempt to justify not wanting to support older versions.

First, great article. Coming across article now was quite serendipitous as I'm in the process of designing a Databus like system myself. In regards to Kafka and Databus, one thing I've been wondering about is why the Databus relay

That's pretty at odds with my everyday experience. I see Xbox One advertising ALL THE TIME. I'm in NYC however and I'm sure it varies by location.

Why is everyone taking these numbers as fact when neither the article nor analyst offer anything to back up these claims? The people submitting and upvoting stories like this are just as responsible for the shoddy state of tech journalism a

Don't know if I agree with your first point. AWS got a head start, but Azure is gaining and fast (Azure revenue - not profit - is at least 30+% of AWS already). That says nothing about SkyDrive either, which is already the biggest clou

I'm sorry, but that's just a terrible way of thinking about things. If we assume things that have been around for a while have reached their apex by virtue of them having been around for a while we'd never make any progress.

No, games aren't nearly enough. I'm a Linux user myself, but quite frankly Windows is simply a better consumer desktop. It's also already installed on every computer. The switching cost is simply too high and the only people outside of the

Oh, and while we connect via IMAP, we aren't a client in the sense of outlook/gmail web. You keep using your current client of choice for reading/handling email and Lightermail works in the background to help you stay organized.
