This seems like a bad take. Are you going to tell me ibuprofen is worthless because it doesn't fix the underlying issue? No, it's a tool. Nobody is saying you should take casual MDMA to discuss every day solutions. But it does hig

any airport that actually cares will adapt a policy like PDX's street pricing, and then actually furnish the airport with places that exist out in the real world--not just these weird airport-only chains (who tf is wolfgang puck) or on

This is mostly a cultural thing, isn't it? Isn't that even more difficult to import?

Which city should San Francisco look to to solve all of its problems? Fwiw, "governance" does exactly that. Many states literally copy, or copy-then-tweak California law (e.g. motor vehicle efficiency requirements).

I'm not sure if that's the case or not. In 2017 I could ask Google which episode of the Futurama was the one where the save the planet from a trash ball, and it could answer the question in natural language. I suspect that Google

i think a lot of firms believe they can keep quality (by hiring 'good quality') engineers in india and save money. as anyone who has actually been at a place that tried this knows, it's probably not true. and for the time whe

So in your view, anticheat companies would be better to publish their methods of detecting cheats? cheat detection and cheat development is an arms race. always was, always has been. By publishing, you just give an advantage to the cheaters

You've fundamentally missed the point that I was making in order to take more 'technically correct' potshots. Perhaps you should try to internalize the whole of my comment (i.e. comprehend it) before trying to reply again. Sn

It's not lying, that's how your comment came across to me. It was extremely dismissive. A simple 'but could you provide evidence?' would be fine. But no--it was more akin to "there is no evidence, your argument is i

"there's no evidence to support the things you are saying, but they're wrong." Is it really hard to believe that activities that rely on communication thrive in environments that support high-bandwidth communication? nb:

parts of the earth are comparably smoother than a billiard ball (though not all of it). Mountainous terrain is like fine sandpaper. We really do not have a sense of scale to imagine the size of the earth.
