The local billionaires here own a large family business. The founders (parents) were great people. They lived life poor for the first 50 years of their lives. They were super down to earth. The next generation are mostly good people. They&#

I do not want the legislature setting my power costs. That's absolutely a recipe for disaster. Let me put in solar to lower my costs and let the solar company put in solar to lower their costs if they want. Then they can pass the savin

White collar encompasses a lot, outside of economics or finance. Also, there are companies who will see that win at any cost mentality as a positive trait. I'm betting whoever it is, is okay now.

I'm kind of confused by your writing. So your argument is that you didn't have incentive to do a shit ton of work compared to others, but by your own admission, your work was subpar because of the amount you pushed out. Why would

My experience is that when you have habitually late people will enter a meeting after you start, their first question is, "what did I miss?" So then you waste even more time when someone recaps for them. It's almost like peop

I was accused of not having enough to do by a boss. He was habitually late to everything. I am at every meeting 3 to 5 minutes early, because I leave every meeting at the :20 or :50 depending. Then I have 5 minutes to pee or whatever before

Giving users a knob that essentially amounts to "reduce the life of your engine" is a terrible idea. Most people are SUPER ignorant about their vehicles and would be pissed when their turbo died early because they assumed a higher

Ringworld is a great book. The later books have great concepts, but could do without so much. . . rishing. Niven plainly inserted his furry porn fetish into those books, for reasons unclear to any human alive.

They just say things like this didn't happen. It doesn't take creative writing skills to just call people you disagree with liars. It's very lazy overall.

That's not real. People don't live like that. That's just engagement slop for tiktok. Also, I would argue that it may not be common, but it's much more likely with airbnb versus a hotel chain. Two reasons; more access to

I've never seen one. I've only ever seen the one line two line kind that certainly aren't electronic. A quick Google tells me electronic versions of that are common though. Weird. I've never seen those.

Storage and grid resiliency is what I'm talking about. Renewables just aren't there yet. I genuinely wish they were and dream about an alternate timeline where electric cars weren't killed in the crib.

Suffer, in this context, is living a life that is completely different than the very convenient one we're used to. Not just renewable based. The technology just isn't there, and I don't think it will be there by the time we n
