I think you're missing the point. 300 miles is not my ideal and, yes, change may or may not be incremental. I'd be happier with 1000m. But 300m is enough for me to buy one now. And that is progress. And I think your point on space

Yep, thanks for detailing this more articulately than I could. This was reason 56 for why I gave up on Google. I was trying to pay them for extra storage and it became a Kafkaesque nightmare to pay them a diddly 1.59 per month. Despite my o

Generally, I agree. My gut says the rail system is a special case. You cannot have 10 companies competing on the same stretch of rail, which leads to weird attempts to bring the 'market' into play. I'm thinking of the UK in p

I'm not sure that's true. Does it matter where the money comes from? I think what gets missed is the market signal or imperative to respond to that signal. But then, I'll make the uninformed assertion that private rail compan

Pfft, my recent experience has been "copying while billing your clients". Just had a consultant who literally got me to womp up a summary of everything going on (which was pre-existing analysis). They then added it to a PDF with s

Well, I'm using it in an economic and social sense. Glad I could clarify. Edit: and now my annoyance has settled down, I accept your correction. Thank you. Second division is more appropriate.

Britain is broken. This isn't the place to debate it, but we're currently a rudderless, borderline second world country. It's going to take a generation to recover (let alone thrive) from what the last decade of flagshagging

There's a similar story happening with our rail lines. The story seems to be that the materials we used in the UK are not stressed to deal with 40 degree heat. They never thought it would be an issue in the UK. Whereas many European ra

Personally, the problem is more fundamental. You can see the tram on the screen so the Tesla is aware of it. It just f@cked up the response to it. Lidar wouldn't solve that.
