You do realize there are countries who didn't act in time where the bodies literally are piling up in the streets right?

I hope you're not looking at case numbers, because Sweden is so far behind on testing compared to most of europe. Look at the rate of growth for deaths per day (filtering out weekends because obviously swedes refuse to die on weekends)

Germany is NOT at a place where the lockdown is too strong. The spread is still growing exponentially and they will run into issues a few weeks from now if it continues at this rate. You can’t keep everything open and then shut everything d

Heart failure sure but road traffic related deaths? Really? COVID-19 is not causing a decrease in road traffic deaths, the reaction to COVID-19 is. So, why would that data ever be relevant when talking about the disease?

It seems obvious that the US could have handled it so much better and cheaper if they had not kept ignoring the situation in China and then Italy (which made Europe wake up) But even in the situation the US is now, doing something, anything

When you're in a situation where the severity of the outcome doubles every 4 days and you do not have clear information about where the curve will break, underreacting will result in extremely bad outcomes much much much more often tha

He's wrong. More people being asymptomatic is not a cause for reacting less strictly, which is the view being promoted. If more people are asymptomatic, that's great news, but it does not impact how severely you should lockdown so
