With every new generation of cellular technology, this question comes up. This started as early as CT, then DECT, GSM, 3G, 4G and now 5G. After 30+ years of having consumer grade wireless telephony we are still debating whether the radio si

I've played around with the nginx cloudflare patches and quiche, and it all seems to work just fine in my lab setup. I don't like having to apply third party patches to any mission critical software such as nginx. So I'll wai

The dust accumulates between the fan and the heatsink/radiator, it usually has nothing to do with the fan itself. Thanks for the tip on the coil whine issue, I thought it was just a design flaw. Maybe I can get it fixed under warranty.

I'd argue that the noise plays a big part in firework displays. Like with racing, the noise is a big part of the experience. And this comes from someone who gets really annoyed by loud motor vehicles.

Toyota has been known for their reliability for a long time now. I can attest that with my Lexus, it's 13 years old now and in the 7 years that I have owned it, it has had zero defects. Last year it even got recalled (12 years after pr

Yes, for the first couple of years 5G will be a marketing thing (5 is more than 4, so it _must_ be better). It helps manufacturers sell more devices and telcos to convince people to upgrade their plan. My opinion is that we don't reall

Now that I'm thinking about it: you could just limit a connection to ~30mbit permanently and remove any data limit. 30mbit is enough to stream 4K video, so there is currently no actual use-case for more bandwidth on mobile devices. Tho
