I think your comment just proved the OP's point. I've had customers using WP in the past, and defacement was just part of the routine. It's an annoyance for the business owner for sure, but so are personnel issues, finance, l

Though an important part of privacy, I think this data portability is really useless, for both consumers and businesses. 1. There is no format defined in which the data must be given 2. There is no feasible way of defining such format anywa

I think you comment is underrated. It's not just China, everywhere I look I see companies partnering with shoddy marketing/SEO 'consultants'. They are rarely transparent about their tactics, and often resort to click far

For those unaware, this is the 'dream computer' specified (and partly designed by) David Murray, whom you might know as 'The 8-Bit Guy' on Youtube. David did a couple of episodes where he goes through the desired specs,

If Microsoft is adding an Authentication-Results header to outbound email where the receiver address is used in the header, then this is a bad bug. Authentication-Results are not supposed to be added by the sender anyway, and it should be

I don't see how one of the receiver's addresses can end up in the Authentication-Results header. Authentication-Results are added by the receiving email service and authenticates the 'from' address (not the 'to&#x

Swedish hypercar builder Koenigsegg has made a system like this, they call it FreeValve. Their upcoming car called the Gemera will feature FreeValve, its 2.0L 4-cylinder is said to generate over 600HP. Though it must be said that this is a

The tab is there to disconnect the battery while the toy is in it's package. The battery is a standard button cell type and there is a little metal spring that touches the battery to complete the circuit. The plastic tab acts as an ins

This typical for laptops with discrete GPUs. Outputting video over TB can often only be done by the discrete GPU. I do not know the reason why this works this way. On my Lenovo X1E, this is also the case. Thunderbolt video output only works

I've had similar issues with my Lenovo second gen (AN40) thunderbolt 3 dock, which are mostly fixed with firmware updates. The thing is: TB docks are _very_ complicated devices, consisting of multiple subsystems each running their own

I did YC startup school (twice, actually), and one of the first courses was about the legal aspects of setting up your company. The talk basically said "just register in Delaware", without explaining why. For me as a European (and

Not an expert on the subject, but AFAIK Jetbrains runs their own Java VM by default. To run intellij on Wayland you do need _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1 in your env. It works, but has some quirks as I wrote above.

Just pay a bunch of talented security researchers to find the bugs. Also donate 200k/year to the OpenSSL team so they have the capacity to fix the bugs whenever found.

I call BS on the 95 hour claim. Among a lot of people, especially bankers, there is a sort of bragging right about making insane hours. But 95h/week is impossible. That would be almost 14h per day, for every day of the week. Or 19 ho

Docker (or anyone for that matter) should not use TrustARC. TrustARC is the most evil, dark pattern I have ever encountered. Opting out takes >10 clicks and then it displays a fake progress scanner for over 30 seconds to punish you for o
