Bad logic. Popularity is unrelated to quality of code. While it is true that popularity = bigger target = more incentive to attack the platform's security, it is also often used as an excuse to try to hand-wave away bad, insecure code. Anot

Very interesting. I am not an Oprah viewer, but even my limited exposure has left me with a "two Oprahs" impression: one a force of good, and one who provided a platform for pure crap like "Dr." Phil. I was not aware Jenny McCarthy and a wh

I think "generally pointless" is overstating things a bit. That said, I think it is definitely fair to say that these sort of benchmarks fall more into the category of "interesting" than "useful". Usually fun to read, but just not something

Perhaps, but that doesn't change my impression of the story: phone call is made, and everything is shut off in a flash immediately afterwards. Even if not a literal 15 seconds, the phrase doesn't seem to imply that there was a length of t

Phone call or no, somehow I don't see anyone taking their sites offline in only 15 seconds without prior knowledge of what was going on. That seems an awful lot more like a, "shit, someone's connected the dots" response. Especially if you'r
