The autoregressive transformer LLMs aren't even the only way to do text generation. There are now diffusion based LLMs, StripedHyena based LLMs, and float matching based LLMs. There's a wide amount of research into other sorts of

Pixi uses uv for resolving pypi deps: https://prefix.dev/blog/uv_in_pixi If you look closely, pixi used `resolvo to power `rip` then switched from a `rip` solver to a `uv` solver

Stumbled upon this paper while trying to learn about conditional flow matching. Apparently, we can now use a similar technique that supercharged Stable Diffusion 3 (conditional flow matching), and apply it to text generation. And the 1.7B m

`uv` is not a drop-in replacement for `conda` in the sense that `conda` also handles non-python dependencies, has its own distinct api server for packages, and has its own packaging yaml standard. `pixi` basically covers `conda` while using

I think a good analogue for this situation is that of the Nobel in Physics for the Blue LED. The first blue LED was built by Herb Maruska and Wally Rhines at Stanford in 1972. However it was incredibly dim. It took decades of focused and su

Just thought this article really drives home how a behemoth company like Intel in the midst of a turnaround can be completely kneecapped by a board of directors (virtually none of whom have any semiconductor experience!)
