I don't think I quite understood what you are trying to accomplish that is distinct from what 90s BSP engines like Unreal 1, Quake 2, and Source were doing? Are you trying to do convex spatial partitions for 3d pathfinding in the air?

How is it that you are running into cpu limitations for raycasts in a bullet hell game with UE5 to the extent you built this? I wrote a VR game that has hundreds of bullets running at 72 fps on Quest 2. Never went multithreaded and never ac

Isn't this kind of like simply putting the data structures from the first Unreal Engine (which I believe used BSP), into the latest one? For the game you appear to be building, this appears to be rather unnecessary, even for authoring

TT did all this crazy stuff in the 90s with limited hardware, but their biggest success was making licensed LEGO games. Making games is hard, but getting IP that people _love_ to begin with is harder. Might I plug my VR game Rogue Stargun (

The 10x trope was something Steve Jobs really learned from his days at Atari. If you look at virtually all the games programmed from 1975 to around 1995, the programming "teams" were incredibly small. Until the Sony Playstation ca

Apparently 3dfx had a contract with Sega for making the Dreamcast GPU, but IPO'd in 1997. As part of the IPO they disclosed the terms of the contract, and the next gen console at Sega was a closely guarded secret at the time to avoid c

It kind of boggles my mind how short the lifespan of these companies were during periods of great technological advancement. 3dfx is founded in August 1994. The Sony Playstation came out in Japan in December of 1994. It's heyday is rou
