I like it, but that still leaves metadata like the fact that I have an account at all. With the low user numbers of Kagi any privacy guarantee by them is an illusion. Since Kagi is operating out of a country without any privacy laws that co

I used Kagi for a while and liked it but I no longer use it because it is a US company and searching with them requires an account that makes tracing my search queries back to me trivial.

Web Environment Integrity was abandoned two years ago. Do you know of any renewed efforts to reintroduce the proposal?

I don't understand half of the stuff you just wrote. I just selected the SSD in the installer and told it to install the OS. Why make things more difficult?

I am using Fedora Kinoite for a year now. It is finally the stable desktop Linux experience I was looking for. The limitations people are constantly talking about really don't seem like a big deal to me. For everything not available as

Is a Flatpak release planned? I am interested in Grayjay but don't really want to deal with a binary that lives outside of my distros package manager.

I hope these things are never allowed around here. Roads are already dangerous enough without people driving around in tanks.

A piece of paper and any kind of pencil will do just fine for writing papers. There is no need for a laptop.

What you are saying about KDE is misinformation. Plasmashell in KDE 6.2 uses between 300 and 500MB RAM depending on the age of the session.

AI companies have chosen to either ignore robots.txt entirely or they just rename their crawler so it technically doesn't apply to them. [0] https://www.businessinsider.com/openai-anthropic-ai-ignore-r... [1] https:&#

But that sounds boring and reasonable. Who cares that the whole project costs a lot, is apparently wildlife endangering, and has dubious benefits. Drones go brrrr, look like fancy future tech and I can put it in my CV to impress my next emp

Yes, closed source libraries are a pain to work with. This is why I like the GPL/Commercial dual licensing model. You can try it out for as long as you like, have full access to the source code and can even create commercial software f

I guess that is just one of the many risks you have to take if your trying to build a business. A couple of hundred dollars in licensing fees are not going to sink your product. For a side project that you don't expect to make any mone

I have a very low opinion of developers who decry having to pay for a commercial licence for otherwise LGPL licensed software libraries. They expect to be paid for their work, and ensure that by creating closed source software. That's
