You might also want to look at AvaloniaUI[0] for a cross platform .NET GUI library. It is similar to WPF but much nicer to work with. [0] https://avaloniaui.net/

Anyone acting surprised should read about what Fedora is. They were always an bleeding edge distro and are often the first major distro to adopt something that later becomes widely used if not a de facto standard. Just a few examples: - Fed

This was just in response to Wayland being 'bloat' which is factually wrong. Also, X11 did not disappear over night so I don't get all that complaining. I'd wager X11 will remain a viable display server for several years

There is no guarantee that they wont do any of that in two weeks and since it is closed source you are basically forced to accept the enshittification or have to switch to another product. This is the reason I haven't tried Obsidian y

Never heard about nostr until now and took a look using one popular client called coracle. It seems to be only used by cryptobros; I don't need or want that in my life.

Word of warning about Roblox, it is home to child labor exploitation, gambling and chat rooms rife with predatory behavior. They allow young game developers to sell their creations and take a 70% cut of their revenue; that is if they let yo

Just download the Godot engine[0] it's free and there are lots of tutorials on Youtube. The documentation[1] also has a tutorial that shows you how to create a small 2D and 3D game. To learn programming with gdscript there is this free

Just what I need, pull requests with a bunch of AI generated drivel. I really don't want to spend my days figuring out if the PR that just got assigned to me contains an actual issue or some AI hallucination.

With Electron you are not developing an embedded browser, it is a dependency of your product which means you are responsible to keep this dependency secure and up-to-date. I don't follow how rules for software with VPN functions could

Most regulations work like that. For example, just because you are cooking in a food truck does not exempt you from basic hygiene requirements. Also CRA will not put you into hot water because of a vulnerability in your dependencies. You ma

Unless you sell critical products as described in Annex III[1] the requirements to fulfill CRA are quite harmless. It's mostly stuff you should be doing anyway like a risk assessment and documentation. An additionally requirement is to

This has been a long way coming and is, in my opinion, a important step in the professionalization of software development. This article seems to refer to the Cyber Resilience Act but doesn't really explain the problem many[1] open sou

Oh sorry, but the linked article makes no mention of that and since the repair was priced in dollar I assumed it must have been in the US. Serves me right, I guess, for believing anything businessinsider says without triple checking.
