Always worth remembering that there's no law that you have to use the same first name that's on your birth certificate. You can introduce yourself to people as whatever you want and people will call you that, they won't ask f

I really like KDE. I feel like it's what the windows DE wants to be when it grows up. Everything is configurable and it's usually fairly obvious how to do so. Coming from a long time 'minimalist' linux users, my biggest

I'm not sure if you know what those words mean and are asking questions, or just using archaic in non-sequitur way for fun. But for anyone unsure of the meanings: whence - from where (similar to Ger. 'woher') whither - to whe

Well sure, if weirdo runs up to me and starts asking me what I think of Nazis, anything I say or don't say could definitely be looked at with a political lens. Doesn't mean I'm being anywhere as political as the weirdo. Sugge

I always take these things as a kind of warning. They're telling you what their politics are, and that they're upfront about it. If you agree with that or can at least ignore that, you'll be alright. If not, don't intera

"No politics" means not having to deal with 'debates' between two people who want to alter the status quo in complete opposite directions

In this respect, motorcycle training courses are MUCH better, and have numerous braking and swerving drills, but they have to be, because motorcycles require a higher-level of attention and are significantly more dangerous to operate than

Wind your window down, stick your hand out, and gesture for them to pass. It works most times I've tried it.

Exactly what I was hinting at (Well i was trying to say it outright but obviously not using the right words!)

Is that new? I'm sure I looked into this last year and it couldn't be done.

I want it clean. But I don't want to do the work to make it clean. The juice is not worth the squeeze.

Wasn't chez scheme the dialect that let you compile scheme code at runtime as a first class thing? I remember looking into this stuff when I had it in my idea to make a configurable text editor. I know racket is very static in this reg

Yeah the modding community is pretty insane. There's also "Skyrim, Home of the Nords" which is an effort to re-create pre-Skyrim (the game) lore about Skyrim... in Morrowind.

OpenMW is a brand new engine though, built from scratch.

by LAC-Tech 3y ago
Very sad to see. OpenMW is a very similar project for a game of the same vintage - Morrowind. Still in active development (last commit 1 hour ago as of writing). To think Bethesda would be fine with openMW, but rockstar had to shut down ope
