But AI do benefit a lot from a strict compiler, and having a simple language improve a lot on type-safety, so I don't think it is to throw, even today.

Instead of having each language bring progress in a different and/or novel, we get this, old java features that comes 20 years-in after the making. They're probably useful, but clearly not sexy (as golang in general).

Same, my need for tailwind got completely ridden when I started using Svelte, thanks to the CSS-scoping it entailed.

Teams, Zulip, WhatsApp, they all suck so much... Discord is decent in my experience.

Tangential but this makes me think of a video about C# GC, and the developer switching to Swift to avoid it, in which the dev says they estimate the development of a pause-less GC to be 5B$ R&D away, does that ring the bell to anyone?

Tangential, but does anyone know if an app exists that that the video feed of your phone with the GPS loc and reads the signs from the road and compare it to OSM to update it if necessary? Let’s be clear, in the end I use Waze for routing d

I just wished Organic Map had a better way to download many countries/regions at once. I frequently use it in the airplane without WiFi and wish to have high definition, but downloading country by country is too cumbersome.

What's the credit cost compared to Gemini, Claude and GPT? As others have said, the last month price update killed copilot for good.

It's a shame (in practice, although I get the philosophical idea). I think the lawsuit chances are very low because FAANG right now depend way too much on LLM being legal, so they would not want to shoot themselves in the foot.

I wonder how much LLMs have been leveraged to help Asahi lately, there’s extremely powerful for reverse-engineering. Have they written about it?

The reality is that the extremely large majority of people (especially in developed countries), have not experienced anything close to Robin William's character, nor do they have the slightest portion of Damon's character knowledg

So you’re wasting both your time and theirs, for no reasons. Instead, try politely signaling you’re not interested. That being said, fortunately it’s easy to see people who like to talk.

I’m reasonably skilled talking to strangers (can last about 3-4 hours in planes/trains/buses if the other party is up to it, after that I usually dry out of conversation), and do that frequently. However after several years of hea

I actually think that with LLM we may very well hit a plateau in innovation here, because now the ugly syntax is not a hurdle anymore, since you don’t write it anymore by hand.

OK, I don't think it would be the case if it was one of many algorithms offered by Anubis, especially if it's enabled by the webmaster. That being said I don't know any crypto that would technically fit as a lightweight PoW.

it does not answer if it's a conscious design choice or just a technical limitation of the PoW, or just a "patch welcome" issue.

what about something (crypto being the only idea I have) that could be leveraged to reward the website owner?
