Neat article. For those like me that struggle getting 170 degree water for green tea, I found a good trick which is to just put an ice cube on top of the tea, and pour the hot water on top of that. That prevents singeing the leaves that

Just found: http://fantom.org/doc/docIntro/WhyFantom.html Nice language syntax wise, seems pretty nice. Prime unique feature is the ability to run on a JVM or the .NET runtime. It also provides a base layer of objects to replace java.

There already is apn_on_rails which I've used with success. It would be interesting to learn why this gem was written instead of using that one, it's been around for ages.

Looks great, but It's more of an 'EngineYard-like service for Django apps'. Heroku does this marketing / technical trick where you don't have machines, just ruby running in the cloud. No servers to reboot or configure, just X$/mo add-on

I enjoy helping people a little, usually recommending good usage guidelines (IE:Use Chrome, a Mac, gmail). It's actually a great "usability" process to watch people solve their problems and figure things out. A big help is to watch peopl

A) Tomatoes are a must grow and pretty simple. The taste of a tomato that never touches refrigeration is almost a different fruit. Easy to grow in a 5 gallon bucket on your deck or wherever. B) Carrots are my favorite fresh. I can't be

I completely agree. I just find it funny that new science appears and everyone's moaning about the impact of the creationists argument!

Creationists? Everyone should jump on challenging carbon dating. If we can measure variance inside of 33 days, and that's extrapolated over a few millions of years, that could skew the numbers a bit. But I bet the ballpark of neutrino's

The title to the article is a total troll. The real interesting factor is that an 'upper class' has evolved that reduces birth rates in exchange for power (education/money). The underclass has always been there. It might be interesting

Hah, thanks for the link! I just wrote a quick app to flirt with my girlfriend. Multiple choice questions with no wrong answers are hilarious. Punched in her phone number and waited for a callback. Ok, maybe that's sad, but hey.

Great advice. David Ramsey has a bunch of material on getting out of debt and basic money management. It's amazing this isn't skill #1 we teach in school.
